UNESCO has officially named Lucknow as a Creative City of Gastronomy, celebrating the city’s deep-rooted culinary heritage and its long-standing food traditions. Currently, 58 cities worldwide hold the Creative City of Gastronomy title as part of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network. With this achievement, Lucknow joins a global community of over 400 cities across more than 100 countries that are acknowledged for excellence in creative fields such as gastronomy, music, crafts and folk art, media arts, design, literature, and film. This year, architecture has also been added as a new creative category.
